Freedom

Disclaimer: This painting is NOT autobiographical, semi-autobiographical or even close. Sure, my gender almost precludes me to making giant mistakes but in this case, no. ;-) Oh I've made my share of colossal screw ups,  boy howdy. The constant beratement of somebody, abuse, controlling and general treating of another in a relationship like a second class citizen is not me. I wanted to bring attention to it in hopes someone could realize that THAT'S NOT HOW LIFE SHOULD BE! There are choices and you don't have to live like that. Probably not easy choices, most likely harder than anything choices but there are choices.

Make a choice.

Freedom

Acrylic 24 x 36

A painting for the "Wine, Women and Song" series inspired by "Stupid Boy". A song by Keith Urban.

It saddens me when a spouse, significant other, relative, etc... treats another poorly as part of daily life. It applies to both men and women. Especially when the one being treated poorly is doing their best to make the other happy. There are options and no one has to live in daily torment.

Freedom can be defined a lot of ways.

This painting will be available Aug 1, 2011 at Nectar Tasting Room and available online Sept 1, 2011.
